Lily Lane is a small but mighty art collaboration located in Boston providing representation to emerging artists from underrepresented backgrounds, created by MassArt alumni Nell Valle and Katie Charpentier.
We believe art empowers and uplifts people. We create spaces where artists can feel seen, heard, understood, and valued. We hope to foster a home of new beginnings and new discoveries for our artists and our community.
Nell Valle is a Chinese-American artist who graduated from MassArt with a BFA in illustration and a minor in creative writing. She has experience in comic illustration, public art, gallery installation, and art instruction. She is currently earning her Master’s in Art Education at Lesley University.
Other than drawing, Nell enjoys cooking, baking, and searching for the best bubble tea in the city. She also has guinea pigs she loves dearly.
Katie Charpentier is an illustrator with a BFA from MassArt’s illustration program who loves drawing all things sweet, sad, and spooky. In addition to using traditional and digital methods for her drawings, she enjoys exploring other ways of artmaking like collage and embroidery.
Katie shares her passion for art by teaching Studio Art Classes for children at the Museum of Fine Arts, and in her free time likes playing video games and reading.
